The e-Visa for Saudi Arabia is a way of saving you time when completing travel formalities. Several agencies offer this document. Since a visa is required to enter the country, the e-Visa is a major concern for all travellers. Do you have to print out this document and carry it with you before arriving in Saudi Arabia?

What is the Saudi e-Visa?

The Saudi e-Visa is a visa obtained following an online application for permission to re-enter the country. This document allows non-Muslims to visit all of Saudi Arabia except the holy sites of Mecca and Medina. It is valid for 1 year from the day it is approved and issued. It allows you to stay in the country within the limits imposed by the document.

How do I obtain an e-Visa?

You can only request this document online. There are three steps to your request:

  • Fill in the online application form and pay by credit card
  • Send your documents to our services by e-mail
  • Receipt of your eVisa by e-mail

You will also need to provide a number of documents, including a colour copy of page 2 of your passport and a recent colour passport photo.

Conditions for obtaining a Saudi Arabia e-Visa

Obtaining an e-Visa is subject to certain specific criteria. It is granted to foreigners from more than 40 countries for tourist purposes, for events, to visit relatives or for pilgrimage. It authorises multiple entries of 90 days maximum. Similarly, you must have a passport that is still valid for 6 months minimum and has a blank page for the stamp.

Obtaining this document does not mean an automatic right of entry. In fact, the right of entry can be refused to anyone by the immigration officer. The officer may decide that you do not meet the necessary conditions or that you represent a risk to the country's interests. Minors must be accompanied by an adult parent. The parent must also present their e-Visa at the same time.
