Visa on Arrival in Saudi Arabia
Some travelers can obtain their visa directly at the airport. Find out if you are eligible for the Visa on Arrival.
What is the Visa on Arrival?
The Visa on Arrival (VOA) for Saudi Arabia is issued directly at border posts and airports in the Kingdom. It is available to citizens of certain countries who hold a valid visa or permanent residence in the United States, the United Kingdom or the Schengen area. The Visa on Arrival offers the same benefits as the e-Visa: multiple entries, one-year validity, stays of up to 90 days.
Who is eligible for the Visa on Arrival?
The VOA is accessible to travelers who hold a valid visa or permanent residence in one of the following countries/zones:
- United States (valid visa or Green Card)
- United Kingdom (valid visa or permanent residence)
- Schengen Area (valid Schengen visa or residence permit)
Even without being a citizen of these countries, if you hold a valid visa from these zones, you can obtain a Saudi visa on arrival. However, we recommend applying for an e-Visa online before departure: some airlines may deny boarding if you do not present a valid visa, even if you are eligible for VOA.
