Umrah Visa (Minor Pilgrimage)

Umrah can be performed year-round, outside the Hajj period. Since September 2019, holders of a tourism e-Visa can also perform Umrah without an additional specific visa. This is a major advancement for pilgrims worldwide.

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Tourism e-Visa or specific Umrah visa
  • Proof of vaccination (meningitis ACWY)
  • Accommodation booking in Mecca/Medina

Hajj Visa (Major Pilgrimage)

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and takes place annually during the month of Dhul Hijjah. The Hajj visa is a specific visa, different from the tourism e-Visa. It is issued through travel agencies accredited by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Registration through an accredited agency
  • Mandatory vaccination certificate
  • Proof of financial capacity
  • For women under 45: mahram accompaniment
